The boiler pressure switch is used as a pressure control switch to turn the boiler on and off at regulated pressure. The steam boiler pressure switch is mainly suitable for the pressure protection of large steam boilers. Such as superheated steam pressure protection, steam drum protection, reheat steam pressure protection, etc. Its function is that when the steam pressure rises and reaches a dangerous value, the pressure protection element releases the action of the safety door through the control circuit, removes the steam, and relieves the pressure, so as to achieve the purpose of protecting the safety of the boiler.

The location of the boiler pressure switch is on the highest pressure side of the boiler. Importantly, just like the boiler pressure gauge, it needs to be protected with a siphon and that the tripod mounts straight. Some boiler pressure switches have a small arrow for that purpose. This is especially important for mercury-type pressure switches. It will not work unless it is installed in a vertical position.
The boiler pressure switch turns the boiler on and off according to the regulated pressure and controls its operating range. In the case of regulating pressure control, the combustion volume of the boiler can be controlled between high and low by means of a regulating motor connected to the fuel valve. It has two adjustment screws and two scales. One scale is the main pressure scale and the other is the differential pressure.
To set the boiler pressure switch to the desired operating range, follow the steps below. The ON value plus the differential pressure equals the OFF value. The operator can adjust any combination to suit the boiler's requirements and can be manually reset by pressing the reset button on the top.
